The Nigeria U20 Women’s team will face Cameroon in the final of the African Games women’s football event, and Head Coach Christopher Danjuma is confident his players are fired up and fully ready.
Nigeria reached the final courtesy a 3-0 victory over Algeria. The team did not lose any game in the group stages, recording 4 points, including a 1-1 draw against Cameroon.
Speaking with footballlive.ng Danjuma insists Thursday’s opponents are familiar foes and “don’t expect them to become a problem.”
“During the group stage we had an encounter with the Cameroonians and it was one physically demanding game,” the Coach said.
“Having seen their team, by the grace of God we have done all we should do and put in place to make sure that their antics and approach to the game will not become a problem to us.
“The mentality of a final is quite different because you know, there is only one game and you don’t reserve anything, you carry a mentality of giving it all; all but nothing that’s the mentality of the players, giving it all excellently with a desired result.”
