Leicester City summer signing, Habib Makanjuola has heaped words of thanks on the club’s Nigerian trio – Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho – for making him feel at home so soon after his recent arrival at King Power Stadium.
The youthful winger said, through support from Musa, Ndidi and Iheanacho, he is already very much at home at the club, and is looking forward to making his mark with The Foxes.
Now that he has signed a four-year deal with ‘The Foxes,’the former Golden Eaglets star says he wishes to be back in the national team setup.
“Ahmed Musa has been like a big brother here at Leicester City, he has been encouraging me both on and off the pitch, together with Ndidi.
“They are both great guys, so too Kelechi Iheanacho, but I spend a lot of time with Musa and Ndidi.
“I am very proud to train with them in the Leicester first team, hopefully I will get my chance to play alongside them in official games soon.
“It’s really great to be here with three other Nigerians, that shows the talent in the country is not a fluke.
“I am ready to play for the country again. I was the youngest when I featured at the 2013 U17 World Cup in Dubai, so I can still play for both the U20 and U23 teams.
“I also look forward to my chance with the Super Eagles, several of my mates from the U17s are already there – Iheanacho, Ndidi, Alhassan Ibrahim, Musa Muhammed and Dele Alampasu.
“Football is all about opportunity,” the former Chelsea Academy player concluded with a high level of enthusiasm and optimism ion his voice.
