Hapoel Beer Sheva forward, Anthony Nwakaeme, is delighted to have won the Israeli best player award for the 2016/2017 season.
Nwakaeme, who is Hapoel Beer Sheva‘s top scorer with 18 goals in all competitions this term took to instagram to thank his teammates, coaches and every player who voted for him in the polls.
He posted: “I’m so happy to have won the best player in the League. Thanks to my teammates, coaches and everyone that voted for me. Special thanks to my bro John Ogu.”

The 28-year-old forward previously featured for Arieşul Turda, Universitatea Cluj, Petrolul Ploieşti and Hapoel Ra’anana before joining The Camels two seasons ago.
He expressed his delight at surpassing his goal scoring record in a season since he began his European career in 2010.
“It’s a big feat for me and I’m delighted to have won the award,” said Nwakaeme per Johnny Edward[Complete Sports].
“Particularly to have surpassed my previous season goal tally shows I’m improving.
“We won the league with four games to play. That shows the hard work and commitment we put into the season. I hope we can be better than this season next League season, and in the European competition.”
